Without a functioning Hood Release Cable, you would likely need to open the vehicle's hood from the outside using ways not recommended by Nissan. Opening your hood outside of using the hood release handle may damage the hood latch or other components around the hood latch.</p><p>Over time, the Hood Release Cable can wear out or rust, causing it to break or get stuck during operation.
